Abzu meets Limbo in brutal underwater escapade Silt
If you've got a fear of the sea and its watery depths, Turbinate Circus' game, Silt up, isn't going to soothe your nerves. Quite the opposite, actually. Information technology's an adventure pun showcased at this year's Microcomputer Gaming Show that shows an underwater world filled with thick-sea goliaths who are ripe to deplete you alive.
You act as a nameless diver who has traveled into the depths to uncover a oblong-forgotten mystery that has lay dormant beneath the water's surface— which isn't baleful in the least.
To assistanc you on your pursuance, you have the spooky ability to own small sea creatures that can help you solve environmental puzzles and easily traverse through and through harmful areas.
From the look of the trailer, Silt's world is pretty brutal and you'll be dying multiple times, usually at the clemency of something with jaws much bigger than you. Its monochrome visuals and brute deaths are selfsame Playdead's Limbo, although Silt up's archaeological symbols are more akin to Architeuthis's far more restful adventure, Abzu.
Silt is Spiral Circus' archetypal game. The explicit aim of the Bristol-based developers is to "bestow surreal art to biography in games." It looks suchlike Silt up will do just that, only we'll have to delay until archaic 2022 to see.
