Fallout New Vegas: Can You Repair Modified Weapons?

how practise you repair a "greyed" out weapon

Post » Wed Jun x, 2009 11:44 pm

ok, I accept a wonderful sniper rifle, its greyed out and completely needs a repair. I take a few run repair kits only it repairs the current weapon that you lot are holding. I can't "concur" the sniper rifle so is it merely non possible to repair information technology myself?

You tin repair it by yourself if you obtain another Sniper Rifle that isn't broken.

The other method is to take it to a person that can repair your Sniper Rifle and let them do it. Preferably, pick a person with a low repair skill then that y'all aren't spending as well much on caps and you can repair it with your weapon repair kits. I don't have a person off-manus as I don't utilize repairing services.

You can go to the sargent at the Mojavi Outpost, (he's in the billet building at the front desk), he does repairs. I recall Mick or Ralph, (forget which), do repairs. Other than that, its Raul in his shack, simply you lose whatsoever companion use from him.

Those don't work on completely broken items because y'all can't equip the detail anymore. And so it's pay to repair or merge information technology with an unbroken weapon.

It'due south odd about that..
I think all it would take to fix it is identify the weapon repair kit item in each weapons repair form listing in the GECK.

Also, if you lot equip another weapon and use the broken ane to repair it, any mods on that cleaved i volition be lost. Some mods are difficult to notice in one case you lot've bought one the first time-- I somehow lost a heavily-modded light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation burglarize, and could only find the scope later -- the optics and beam splitter were nowhere to be constitute at all the vendors I looked at.

Which, in fact, has been washed to combat the durability modern bug that lowers a weapon's status http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1159180-rel-weapon-mods-expanded/page__view__findpost__p__17098115. And yep, information technology does work.

Mojave Outpost and Raul tin repair it to 95%, making them the best by far. Mick is pretty good at 85%, Calamity at 75%, the rest of them svck.

Well, ironically, you really want the svcky ones in this example. Having a low repair person will mean that it'll cost y'all less caps equally y'all tin fix with weapon repair kits yourself, therefore turning in into a larger profit, if you're planning to sell said weapon.
